Naveen Jindal gets bail in Coal gate

New Delhi MAY 25: A relief for people who involved in the coal scam. A special court today granted a bail to the accused named by the CBI in its supplementary charge sheet in a coal scam case.

The main accused was Congress leader and industrialist Naveen Jindal, Anand Goel, Siddharth Madra, BSN Suryanarayan, Rajeev Aggarwal, Sushil Kumar Maroo.

The above persons were accused in the case relating to the allocation of Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block in Jharkhand.The coal scam came into light when CAG had submitted a report regarding the loss of RS 1.86 lakh crore to the public exchequer.

The names of these persons were disclosed by Singhal, a chartered accountant, who was also charge sheeted by the Central Bureau Of Investigation as accused in the case. The court had summoned and accused them after the supplementary charge sheet was filed by the CBI on March 24.

Other accused in the case are former Minister of State for Coal Dasari Narayan Rao and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda.

Finally, all the accused denied their role in coal scam case and said that the allegations leveled against them are baseless.
