Digital India to create 30 lakh jobs

New Delhi, MAY 24: A good news for IT industry. The union minister for IT has denied that Indian Information Technology is in crisis and is performing well.

Union Minister was speaking at the press conference conducted by his ministry upon the completion of 3 years of NDA government.

Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad has highlighted the achievements of his ministry in last year. The main achievements of his ministry are

# Indian IT companies have added 6 lakh jobs in last three years.

# We have bought a policy to encourage setting up of BPO in small towns.

# Prasad said that PM Modi and Arun Jaitley finance minister have conveyed concerns on the issue of H1-B visas.

# The IT minister said that total amount to be invested in electronics manufacturing has increased to Rs1.43 lakh crore.

# Currently there 72 mobile manufacturing companies in India and these have created 4 lakh employees in last year.

# He said that investment in mobile manufacturing has gone up to Rs 89,756 crore in 2016-17.

# He also said that Apple has started its production in Bangalore.

Finally, he concluded his speech that The Digital India policy we have bought will create 30 lakh jobs in Indian IT industry by 2025.
