Telangana RTO officers involved in a scam?

Hyderabad, May 23: A big scam took place in Telangana RTO office. The Sources say that some officials are not performing their duty well. There are allegations about officers that they are not collecting additional Life tax that should be paid by a customer who registers his second vehicle.

Some of these reasons for the loss of money to government are as follows

# Officers negligence in checking the ownership of vehicles.

# Customers are transferring the ownership and using Benami names to avoid tax.

# High taxes that is 14 % tax when a customer buys the second vehicle.

# The software issued by the RTO office for dealers is too old and there is a possibility that the
customer can easily modify the ownership of the vehicle.

There are complaints in this regards and customers have suggested removing the additional tax on the second vehicle.

Finally, it's up to to the officials to act strict and make sure that everyone pays taxes.
