Triple talaq Muslim board submits Affidavit

NEW DELHI, MAY 23: A big victory may be on the cards for Muslim women. The case in Supreme court has reached final stages and the court may give its verdict any time soon.

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) had said that we should social boycott Muslims who practice in triple talaq.

The Muslim board has submitted an Affidavit in this regard to the supreme court. The AIMPLB on Monday told that it has given instructions for the husband and wife at the time of dispute which has to be followed.

The details of the affidavit submitted are as follows

* If there are differences between a husband and his wife, they should first try to mutually resolve the issues by themselves by using the provisions contained in the Shariat (Islamic law).

* If the dispute is not resolved mutually and has not achieved results, then couples can think of temporary withdrawal.

* If above two steps are failed then senior members of both families may try to solve the issue or they can appoint an arbitrator from each side for compromise.

* Finally even if the dispute still remains after following above steps, the husband may pronounce one divorce during the first month of the marriage and leave his wife till iddat is completed.

* If the problem continues then the marriage will be automatically dissolved after the lapse of the waiting period and both of them will be free.

* certain exemptions to the above guidelines have been given to Muslim Pregnant women.

* The board also suggested an alternative way cancel the marriage in which the husband will pronounce one divorce during the first month of marriage followed by another divorce in the second month and the third divorce in the third month.

Finally, the Muslim community is happy that their religious heads have shown some alternative methods for the solution.

Let's wait till the court pronounces its verdict.
