Bride drowned in river,after 3 days of marriage

Vijayawada, May 22: Here a tragic incident has occurred here on Sunday, while a bride died when she entered the Krishna river to take a holy dip, in Mattapalli village of Matampalli Mandal.

while coming to details, The bride identified as Deepika (23) along with the groom, Sai, had darshan of the presiding deity of Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy.

Later, they reached the banks of the Krishna river for a bathing ritual. However, during the ritual, Deepika slipped into the water and started to drown. Alert relatives of the couple jumped into the water and pulled her out of the water. They rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Police have reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem and begun investigation too.
