Chattisgarh, May 22: The Chattisgarh security forces have found a 5 kg explosive bomb, which was packed in a lunchbox and planted under a bridge in Kanker district here on Monday.
Later, The improvised bomb was later defused by security forces.
Kanker Sub-Divisional Police Officer Rajkumar Markam said the explosive was planted on the Amabeda-Dhanora road by Maoists as part of their plan to trigger a blast.
A joint team of police and paramilitary force found the explosive during a search operation, he said.
Police have raised some doubt during the incident and started an investigation on the incident.
They also put a surveillance on some suspected areas in the city.
