UP CM Yogi Adityanath about RSS

Lucknow, May 22: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that if this organisation was not there, Kashmir, West Bengal and Punjab would have gone to Pakistan.

He said here in Uttar Pradesh Assembly on Strongly defending the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) here on Sunday.

Coming to matter, UP CM was responding to charges levelled by the opposition parties that his government was "concentrating" on issues of ‘Gai, Ganga and Gau Raksha’ on the instructions of RSS which did not participate in the freedom struggle.

"Agar RSS aur Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee na hote to West Bengal, Punjab aur Kashmir… Pakistan ke kabje mei hote (Had RSS and Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee not been there, West Bengal, Punjab and Kashmir would have been under control of Pakistan)," Yogi Adityanath said.

He also added that people would have forgotten to sing Vande Mataram in schools, had RSS not been there.

"Some even try to link the National Song with communalism but if RSS was not there, then people would have forgotten to sing Vande Mataram in schools," the UP CM said.

Yogi Adityanath reminded the members of the UP Assembly that RSS runs 64,000 educational institutions in the country.

"RSS is the only organization, which does not take any help from the govt…," he added.
