Emergency landing for the bird struck in the wings

Hyderabad, May 22: As we know that, Recently a snake was appeared and tried to enter into flight has gone viral issue in the state.

Now, A bird has struck in the wings of Flight(CX646), which has already started and headed to Hongkong. It has to carry 244 passengers made an emergency landing reportedly at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, in the wee hours of Sunday.

According to information available, the Cathay Pacific flight made an emergency landing few minutes after taking off from the airport.

The flight CX 646 heading from Hyderabad to Bangkok was scheduled to take off around 1:50 am. When it took off from the runway, a bird hit the right side of the nose forcing the pilot to go for emergency landing.

"The pilot then immediately alerted the Air Traffic Control (ATC) staff asking permission for emergency landing. It had to land within 35 minutes of its take-off," sources said.

Meanwhile, the passengers in the flight were shifted to a nearby private hotel till arrangements were made for them on alternate flights.

"Few of the passengers went through British Airways that was connecting through Mumbai and New Delhi," sources said, adding that the aircraft was sent to a hangar to rectify the problem.
