Gang rape by a facebook friend

Vijayawada, May 21: Police officials have been arrested five persons who have allegedly raped a woman here in Vijayawada.

While going to details, According to the police officials, A student was allegedly gang raped by her Facebook friend and his four friends in Vijayawada. The police Said

Police officials detained all the five accused within 24 hours after the victim lodged a complaint. According to police information, the accused identified as Srikanth, a private executive in the city, made friends with the 19-year-old girl through Facebook.

The duo decided to personally meet on Saturday at BRTS Road on May 16 evening. The duo then met at a place from where the accused took the victim to an undisclosed location.

The accused offered her cold drink which is said to be mixed with intoxicants. When she started feeling drowsy, he allegedly exploited her before encouraging his friends to do the same.After that, they left her on the BRRS road and fled.

Later after some time, The girl realized that she was sexually abused upon gaining consciousness. She then lodged a complaint with the Satyanarayanapuram police, who detained all the five accused.
