Telangana Govt to curb Online Gambling

Hyderabad, May 21: The Telangana government is planning to curb the online gambling in the state. As part of the decision, the govt has going to make some amendment in the Gaming Act-1974.

The addition of 'Cyberspace', the govt also planning to break the online addicting games like horse ride bets, Cricket bets, and gambling etc.

Already, Police have arrested some members, who play these kinds of games in smartphones and computers.Police have always eyeing on gambling websites, especially on persons, who are login into websites regularly.

With the help of Service providers, Police have gathered information of criminals and filed cases under non-bailable sections.

Police also seized the jewelry ornaments, cash, valued things etc during gambling.The also frozen the player's bank accounts.

The first convicts will be sentenced to jail for a year and a fine of Rs.5,000 and a second sentence will be a double penalty.The Government Ordinance will be issued shortly after the judicial process is already completed.
