Severe heatwave conditions in next five days

Hyderabad, May 20: Temperature in the Telugu States has increasing day by day, Many of the cities are welcoming with a massive temperature including Adilabad, Nizamabad, Bhadrachalam, Ramagundam and Nalgonda areas.

While coming to matter, At least 167 people have died reportedly due to sunstroke in Telangana since April 1

heatwaves continuing in the Telugu States, a senior official of the state disaster management said here today.

"These (167) deaths (till date) should be confirmed by the committees as heatwave deaths. Then only it can be recognized as heatwave deaths and financial assistance will be sanctioned accordingly.

Telangana State has been experiencing severe heatwave for the past few days with temperatures crossing the 42-degree mark in most of the places.

According to the Meteorological Department, heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in isolated places of Telangana during the next five days.

The officials have been giving warning that people will not go to outsiders after 11 am to 5 pm.
