Faction rivalry between Karanam and Gottipati

Prakasam, May 20: At least Two persons were killed another 4 injured in faction rivalry at Vemavaram in Ballikurava Mandal in Prakasam district.

While coming to details that the Followers of MLA Gottipati Ravi Kumar have attacked followers of MLC Karanam Balaram at Vemavaram while they were returning from a marriage.

Injured were shifted to Government Hospital at Guntur. The police said row over speed breaker led to the attack. Karanam Balaram visited the hospital and consoled his followers.



Gorantha Peda Anjaiah (35) and V.Ramakoteswarar Rao (48) were killed when the six were seriously injured. According to the police, the suspects were detained and the two arrested.

For the past few years in this village, there have been a lot of clashes between Karunati and Gottipati Ravi community.

The police suspect that the attack was in the background. CM Chandrababu was angry over the death of two in the clash in Vamavaram. The DGP had ordered the action to take action against those responsible for the incident.
