Volvo Auto to start assembly operations in India

Mumbai MAY 19: Volvo Auto India (VAI) on Thursday said that it will soon launch vehicle assembly operations in India.

The company said that it will begin its operations in Bengaluru.

They also said that company will first work on premium SUV apart from the additional models, which will be worked at a later stage.

They have tied up with car truck manufacturers, Penta Engineers Manufacturers.

The company CEO said that with the launch of newly made in India vehicles our sales will improve and we will increase our market share.

Company officials said that India is a very attractive market and we are hopeful about the new venture. The cars assembled in the country will have same standards as followed in other countries.

Finally, experts say it is a big boost to make in India because many it will create an ecosystem of SMEs and will create huge employment.
