Mumbai, May 19: Sony's 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' has been one of the longest successfully-run game show on Indian television. Now, the channel is about to start the new ninth edition of the reality show. But this time not Amitabh Bachchan as its host, as he is not available for some reasons.
Though Ranbir Kapoor was the initial choice to replace Bollywood megastar, he too couldn't make the cut. But the show makers, in a first of it's kind, are planning to bring in the female host for this upcoming season. It is to believe from the sources that the channel has approached Big B's daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to host the new season.
The channel has also approached evergreen beauty Madhuri Dixit, who is already on the television screen with a role as a judge in shows like 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa', 'So You Think You Can Dance India' and 'Kahi Na Kahi Koi Hai'.
Whoever is ready to this new role becomes the third actor to host this show after Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. SRK hosted the third season of KBC. Let us wait and see will it bring luck also to the new host as was the case with Big B.
