Sangamithra poster unveiled at Cannes

Chennai, May 19: The latest upcoming high-budget movie in Kollywood is 'Sangamithra' which will be based on the periodic visual extravaganza. The makers of the movie have unveiled the movie's first look.The posters are released at Cannes international film festival.

Tamil heroes Jayam Ravi and Arya are playing the leading men in the movie that is being made on Rs 400 crore budget. Shruti Haasan has been roped in to play the crucial character in 'Sangamithra'.Shruti Haasan, in the poster, looks quite impressive. Another poster featuring a fiery Arya was also unveiled.



Sangamithra is a tale which goes back to 8th century AD, telling the trials and tribulations of the protagonist Sangamithra, whose beauty is unparalleled, and her journey to save her kingdom. It is a story of many kingdoms, many equations, many relationships, told in an ambitious, larger than life, visually extravagant manner.

The film will around Shruti Haasan's character. She has the looks and talent to play a warrior princess and the intense training she has been taking will surely help her to full justice to the character. Said to be one of the costliest Indian films, it will be made in two parts just like Baahubali.
