Telangana Commercial Tax Department to launch an App

Hyderabad MAY 18: The Telangana commercial tax Department will soon launch an app for customers.

Officials said that the App will help the department to achieve increased tax collections.

Sources say that Currently the hotels and Restaurants are not depositing the tax collected from the customers.

A current estimate says that there is a tax evasion of RS 300 crore in Telangana state by owners.

Currently, many restaurants charge 14.5 % VAT.

In order to check the tax evasion, the CT department will bring a user-friendly app. Under this app, a customer after paying his bill can click a photo and upload it on the app so that the officials will detect tax evasion.

They also said that Customers who upload the bills will be given prizes based on the lottery system.

Let's hope that the app will reduce tax evasion.
