Dog killed a child

Odisha May 17: A Tragic incident took place at Koraput district. Some Stray Dog were found eating the corpse of an infant baby boy inside the premises of the sub-divisional headquarter hospital of Jeypore here, on Monday.

Coming to Details, A group of people standing near the hospital watched it on Monday, but no one bothered to stop the Dogs. Some People even recorded the incident on their mobile phones, police said.

Hospital authorities expressed their ignorance about the incident.

Sitanshu Satapathy, the sub-divisional medical officer (Jeypore) said, After learning about the incident I personally rushed to the spot with my staff, but found nothing. Neither the dog nor the baby’s body could be located. We do not have any patient missing from our hospital.'

He said 'A police complaint will be filed to inquire into the matter.'

A team is verifying the mobile recordings and the incident is being investigated, Senior police officers said.
