Kulbhushan Jadhav case: ICJ to deliver its verdict on Thursday

Mumbai May 17: The International Court of Justice will deliver its verdict on the fate of Kulbhushan Jadhav, a former naval officer, who is facing the death penalty in Pakistan for alleged espionage on Thursday.

While coming to details that The verdict will be delivered at 3.30 pm as per the Indian Standard Time. Both the countries India and Pakistan had on Monday presented their case over the crucial issue at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

India's submission was made as the ICJ began hearing the case of the 46-year-old former Navy officer who was arrested on March 3 last year and sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court on charges of espionage and subversive activities.



Making strong arguments, India cornered Pakistan and raised a demand for the immediate lifting of the death sentence imposed on Jadhav.

Representing India, veteran counsellor Harish Salve accused Islamabad of violating the Vienna convention by denying its request for consular access to Jadhav for 16 times.
