Arun Jaitley Inaugarautes Operation Clean Money website

Delhi, May 17: The Centre yesterday launched a website Operation Clean Money.
The website was launched by Arun Jaitley Union Finance minister.

He spoke after the launch and said that the website would contain details of the names of tax offenders, details of raids conducted by the Income Tax department.

Finance Minister also said that "Post-demonetisation personal income tax return filing has increased ". He also said that new website will help honest taxpayers. The minister also warned the people those who have black money.



The website will also display the names of bank customers who deposited an unusual amount of money into their accounts from
Nov 10 -Dec 30 after the demonetization was announced.

CBDT has revealed that undisclosed income of Rs 16,398 crore has been detected after demonetization.

The tax authority also revealed that there was a 22% growth in e-filing of Income Tax Returns post demonetisation.

Finally, the minister said that Operation clean money website will name and shame the people who evade taxes.
