Man hits by Car, while tried to save another

Hyderabad, May 17: A man who tried to save a person, who was lying injured on the road, was thrashed by an unidentified vehicle on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) here late on Tuesday. Both the persons died.

The accident was occurred near Exit Gate-19 near Thukkuguda on the ORR, under the Pahadishareef police station limits.

According to the police, Srinivas Reddy of Rampally near Keesara was proceeding from Shamshabad to Pahadishareef in his car (TS 08 UA 1489) when he saw a person lying injured on the road. As he got down and was crossing the road to help him, a speeding car hit him, killing him on the spot.

The identity of the person who was lying on the road is yet to be identified, with police quoting locals that he could be a mentally unstable person who used to roam around in the area. How he was injured is also being ascertained.

A case has been registered and the bodies were shifted to the Osmania General Hospital for postmortem.
