AP CM says: MLAs should work in coordination with party cadre

Amaravathi, May 17: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been angered on his party MLAs to be cautious as only two years are left for the next general elections.

While coming to matter that the AP CM told the MLAs that they have to perform well and the next one year is very crucial.

Presenting the TDP legislature party meeting at Velagapudi here on Tuesday, he asked the legislators to change their attitude and involve the public in the implementation of govt welfare schemes.

He further added that the MLAs should take up ownership and ensure proper implementation of the welfare schemes. If the government schemes are not implemented properly, the legislators should find the reasons at the grass-root level, he suggested.

Expressing displeasure over some MLAs failing to change their attitude even after receiving the performance reports, Naidu made it clear that only those who perform well will retain their seats.

He blamed them for not properly highlighting the government schemes which were initiated while facing many challenges. He said the TDP govt is the only govt in the country which introduced various welfare schemes for different sections including waiver farm loans to the tune of Rs 24,000 crore.
