YS Jagan to start a new National News channel!

Hyderabad, May 17: Recently we have seen one of the top reporters in the India Arnab Goswami has started his new channel called Republic TV. And new a buzz that YSR Congress Party leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is also going to start a National News channel, fuel was added to this rumors after the Barkha Dutt came to light.

Barkha Dutt is also one of the reporter in English news channel, who had resigned NDTV in Jan 2017 after working 21 long years, has been silent about her next step for the past four months. As she is all set to embark a new journey and explore new avenues, the latest Buzz doing the rounds in the media fraternity has it that Barka may join hands with Jagan with whose family she shares a great rapport.

While it's not clear whether it's true or not, but Barkha's meeting with YS Bharathi and Jagan during her recent visit to Hyderabad has added fuel to the fire - ongoing speculations about Barkha Dutt's next move. Apparently, Jagan wants to start up a National News Channel with a focus on South. Jagan is reportedly of the opinion that Barkha could be a perfect choice. If all goes as per reports, the new channel may begin its operations soon and would go live before the next general elections.

In fact, Jagan had planned to start an English newspaper after his plan to buy out a leading daily failed. However, this didn't take off as his monies were seized by ED, CBI. Looks like, Jagan seems to have found a solution for this and altered the plan for a national news channel instead of a newspaper.

It can be recalled that YS Jagan & family has a business association with NDTV and this is no secret. Sakshi TV promoted by Jagan had tied up with NDTV for a fancy amount for improving its content and feel. It's suspected that during this, Barkha and Jagan family got along well.
