IIT Hyderabad researcher gets INSA award

Hyderabad, MAY 16: A researcher from Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad has won an Award.
Prof. Aravind Kumar was rewarded with Indian National Science Academy (INSA) medal.

He secured the medal in the Young Scientist category for 2017.

Currently, Kumar is working as an Assistant Professor in the Biomedical Engineering department of IIT, Hyderabad.

He has received the award for developing a new technique of delivery of ‘nano’material using liposomes and gold nanoparticles,

The delivery of nanoparticles is useful in applications such as imaging and therapeutics.

Sources say that the researcher’s work has got a lot of potential.This technique can be applied in treating cancers in with minimal side effects.

His research work was published recently in the journals Nanoscale and ACS Nano Letters.

Finally, an IIT Hyderabad researcher made India proud
again.
