CBI questions Bhupinder Hooda in Land deal

Chandigarh, May 16: The CBI has grilled Haryana EX Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

The Investigative Agency has questioned him for nine hours at its office yesterday.
The Agency has summoned him in the irregularities involved the Manesar land deal.
He refused to speak to media persons after his investigation was complete.

We know that the CBI had registered a case against Hooda in September 2016.
The case was booked against him on the allegations that he had helped private players to buy 400 acres of land from farmers at a cheaper rate.

Sources say that the land was allegedly bought between August 2004 and August 2007 by private builders at throwaway prices from farmers who were threatened with the acquisition of their land by the government.

We know that Hooda was HUDA chairman during that period and he allegedly issued a notification for land acquisition.

Finally, CBI officials said that the Investigation is not Complete and they may further call him for further questioning if required.
