Japanese firms reportedly hit by malware

Tokyo, May 15: The top leading companies Hitachi and automaker Nissan, have reportedly been affected by last week's global cyberattack, officials confirmed here on Monday.The officials also said that around Around 600 Japanese companies have been affected by the cyber attack

According to the official's sources report, around 2,000 computers across 600 different companies were hit by the ransomware named "WannaCry".



Hitachi said in a statement that its email service was affected and that some of its employees were still facing problems in accessing attachments, as well as sending and receiving messages.The other major company Nissan Motor too, in a statement, added that some of its plants were targeted by the malicious software, although business was not adversely affected.
