Cabbie held, for molesting a woman

Hyderabad, May 14: Nowadays, Women harassment cases have been raising in the city excessively.One of the kinds of woman harassment incident has occurred at Ghatkesar here on Friday.

While coming to details, A 20-year-old woman was allegedly molested by a cab driver along with his friends in Ghatkesar on Friday midnight.

The incident came to light when the woman lodged a complaint with the Ghatkesar police on Saturday.

According to the police, the victim hailing from Krishna district was staying along with her husband in Balanagar.

Ten days ago, her husband left to Vizag and since then she was staying at a friend's house in Sitaphalmandi.

On Friday night, when she wanted to got to Uppal she called her friend, Ravi, a cab driver who came in his car."But he was not alone, there were three more occupants who were his close friends, police said.

After reaching Uppal, they all consumed alcohol and after that, they headed towards Medipally."Ravi drove the vehicle to an isolated place and all of them molested her," said an official.

Based on the complaint given, Ghatkesar police have registered a case and took up the investigation too.
