Ransomware attacks cause billion dollar damage to world

Hyderabad MAY 14: we know that WNCRY ransomware virus has attacked many systems operating in the world.

The damage caused by the cyber attack is huge and still the virus is spreading rapidly around the world.

Some of the countries which have been hugely affected are

* Britain

* France

* Russia

* Ukraine

* China

* Italy

* India

The effect of the virus in India is yet to be known because many offices were shut on Saturday being a weekend.



Till now only 100 system of AP police were found to be affected.

American Intelligence Agency NSA, Indian cyber experts have given some tips to prevent such attacks

* Update Antivirus regularly.

* Keep checking database for new scripts

* Must maintain certain tools to filter the spam messages .

* Use safe browsing techniques and tools.

Microsoft said that all users must upgrade their operating systems so that virus attacks can be prevented.
