Setback for Sonia, Rahul in National Herald Case

New Delhi, MAY 13: A setback for Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi occurred in the National Herald case yesterday. The High Court has struck down a petition barring the Income-tax Department to take action against the family in daily newspaper case.

We know BJP MP Subramanyam Swamy has already filed a case against Gandhi in the Herald case. Following the dismissal of the petition by High Court, The IT department will start investigating the documents Young India company has submitted in the case proceedings.

According to IT sources Gandhi's have a share of 83.3 % in Young India Company.We know that National Herald paper closed its business in 2008. In 2010 the paper ownership was transferred to Young India Company from Associated Journal Limited (AJL).



The main allegation is that Congress party had grabbed a Property worth thousands of crores by just paying
Rs 50 Lakhs. Finally, The BJP MP said that after IT enquiries the documents soon ED will step in and may file a case against them under PMLA.
