GHMC to setup Smart Dustbins

Hyderabad, MAY 12: The City Mayor wants the Hyderabad city to become a Dustbin Free City. So he has ordered GHMC officials to introduce smart Dustbins in the city.

Smart Dustbins are the dustbins which contain sensors. The bins will be placed underground and when the container gets filled an alert will be sent to officials.The dustbin will be lifted automatically by the crane present in the truck.

Some more Specialities of the bins are

* The bins contain Galvanized Iron sheets so that rust is not formed.

* A proper mechanism will be present so that waste will not be dumped on the ground during transfer.

* The lifetime of bins will be in the range of 7-15 years.

* The workers will work safely.

The main advantages of the bins are as follows

* These bins can be put up in any places such as Tourist spots, commercial areas.

* The surrounding areas of the bins will be clean.

* Very little space is required and the city looks clean.

* The time taken to collect waste will reduce.

Finally, City residents are happy because they feel that waste dumping problem will be solved soon.
