Vijaya Nirmala hourned with Doctorate

Hyderabad, May 17: Vijaya Nirmala is a yesteryear actress whose performance had been commendable on screen in many movies. She had not only appealed to the Telugu audience but those of Tamil as well as Malayalam.

Vijaya Nirmala entered Tollywood as a child actor in Panduranga Mahatyam and later became a renowned actress of the times.



Vijaya Nirmala did not end up as an actress alone. She started to direct films and has been successful enough to make the highest number of Indian films, that she got her name into The Guinness Book of World Records. She has 44 films to her directorial credit.

Now, she will have a doctorate conferred on her. The Royal Academy of Global Peace, UK, has announced it and she will be receiving it today in Kuala Lumpur.
