Kannada actress to be Social media in-charge

Bengaluru, May 12: The Kannada actress who turned politician is Ramya alias Divya Spandana also known to Telugu audience with 'Abhimanyu' movie. Now she took charge of social media and IT wing of Karnataka Congress party.

Ramya joined Congress in 2012 and has served as an MP from Mandya constituency in Karnataka by winning the by-election in 2013. While BJP is making a strong presence on social media, the Congress existence is highly ineffective.



Though it is not official yet, the Congress high command comes to this decision after her active presence on social media and taunting the ruling BJP on various issues.

With Ramya as head of its party Digital communications, the Congress wants more aggressive social media presence to tackle BJP in the coming elections.
