Telangana Land Acquisition bill approved by the Center

New Delhi, May 09: The Telangana Land Acquisition Act - 2013 amendment bill has been approved by the Center. The Central Home department has sent the bill to the President Bhavan for approval.

The President's approval for the Land Acquisition Bill is likely to completed within two or three days. The bill will become law after the President's approval.

The Telangana government brought a new law in December 2016 following the 2013 Land Acquisition Act for prompt land acquisition.

However, the Central law department examined the law and said that it would be enough to make six amendments.

The Land Acquisition Act - 2013 amendment bill was approved by the Legislative Assembly and Council on April 30.



The state government approved the bill by having special assembly meeting to speed up irrigation projects.

The land acquisition process will be held fast after the approval of the President.Due to this, the remaining irrigation projects are going to be completed at the time of consideration.
