Sky-ways in Hyderabad soon to curb the traffic issue

Hyderabad, May 09: The Telangana state government has planned a permanent solution to the issue of the traffic problem in the state capital Hyderabad.

Rs 5,994 crore has been estimated cost of construction of three skyscraper bridges (Skyways).

These are to be constructed as part of the strategic road development plan (SRDP) of 44 km.

The Hyderabad people have been facing severe problems with rampant traffic in highways.

An Hourly traffic and time-consuming air pollution and fuel waste are causing health problems. The traffic problem is becoming more intense as the city is expanding.

The state government has prepared plans to build the sky bridges in three ways.

Officials have prepared a report to build three skyways from Uppal to Ghatkasar, Paradise from Shameerpet, Balanagar to Saregudam.Here the clear details about 3 skyways.



1. Ghatkesar from Uppal
Distance: 10.8 km
Estimated cost: Rs.730 crores
Cost of land acquisition: Rs.100 crore (estimate)
Total: Rs 830 crores
2. Samirpet from Paradise
Distance: 18 km
Estimated cost - Rs.1323.59 crores
Cost of land acquisition: Rs.2,082 crores (estimate)
Total: Rs.3,405.59 crore
3. Saragugudem from Balanagar
Distance: 15.3 km
Estimated cost: Rs 1,298 crores
Cost of land acquisition: 461 crores (estimate)
Total cost: Rs 1,759 crore
