Kejriwal should resign from his post: Ajay Maken

New Delhi May 07: Former minister Kapil Mishra has alleged that Delhi CM and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal had taken a bribe of Rs 2 crore. Congress leader Ajay Maken has also been criticized here on Sunday

While going to matter, Congress leader Ajay Maken said the AAP chief had no moral right to continue leading the Delhi govt, and should resign.

"Kapil Mishra is still a minister, so these are serious allegations," Maken said.

The Congress plans to launch a signature campaign seeking Arvind Kejriwal's recall, but if Mishra's allegations are proven to be false, then that should be probed as well, he added.



He also said Mishra was a witness, that a case should be registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and that the CBI and Anti-Corruption Branch should take action.

Earlier, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari said he was shocked that someone sitting in the CM's chair could take a bribe. Kejriwal shouldn't stay on as chief minister for a minute longer, Tiwari said.
