Men to face jail if they raise eyebrow against Woman

Delhi MAY 07: Do you know that Nirbhaya Act contains very strict provisions for men who involve in the crimes against women.

We know that Nirbhaya act was framed after Nirbhaya incident happened in Delhi 2012.

Let's check some of the provisions of the act

Justice Verma committee which was formed after Delhi rape case has suggested many changes to act

They have upgraded the definition of Sexual Attack.
They have included other acts such as Acid attacks, abusing women.

The following sections deals with nature of punishment

IPC 326 A:10 years jail or lifetime imprisonment based for Acid attack convicts.

IPC 326 B:5-7 years jail for an attempt of an Acid attack on women.



IPC 354 A: For sexual harassment on women minimum 3 years jail and fine for men only.

IPC 354 B: Men may suffer 3-7 years of jail if he sees women with bad intention.

IPC 354 D: Men may go to jail for 1-3 years if they tease women, give wrong signals and
even raising an eyebrow against women.

Although the act is well framed to protect women some men organizations are protesting against some sections of the act because there are lot many chances for misuse of the act.

So men be careful don't let your eyebrow rise against women.
