Pranab Mukherjee offers prayers at Badrinath

Badrinath May 07: President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday visited the famous Badrinath, huge Security has been arranged for the President's visit.

He offered prayers at Badrinath, the last of the Char Dham shrines to be opened this year.

According to the sources, Every year, the Char Dham open in April/May after 6-month winter break, attracting thousands of devotees.

Badrinath was opened for devotees early today morning 4:45 am and will remain functional till Vijayadasmi on September 30, 2017.



Later, President has visited the temple around 8:25.He stayed at there for 2 hours. He came to Badrinath along with Uttarakhand Governor Krishna Kanth paul, CM Trivendra Singh Ravath.

We all knew that, On May 3, Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at Kedarnath.

This year Gangotri and Yamunotri were opened on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya, while the doors to Kedarnath were opened on Wednesday.
