PM Modi hailed ISRO team

Sriharikota, May 06: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has Congratulated the ISRO team through his Tweeter account here on Friday, recently ISRO scientists Launched GSAT-9 successfully in Sriharikota, Andra Pradesh.

The South Asia Communication Satellite GSAT-9 from the second launch pad, at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. The GSLV-F09 successfully injected the GSAT-9 into the orbit in a flawless flight.

The Geostationary Satellite was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at 4:57 PM at Sriharikota, 135 km from Chennai.

Modi called it as a 'historic moment', and he said GSAT-9 as the 'gift' to The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) nations, congratulated ISRO scientists. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, the Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka comes under SAARC nations.



Prime Minister shared his Achievement with President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani, Bangladesh Prime minister Shaik Hasina, Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, President of Maldives Abdulla yameen, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and Sri Lanka President Maithripala Srisena, through the vedio conference.

He also said that it is the first project in south Asia, it will be helpful in decreasing the poverty in their countries, to Reduce Natural Calamities and for good ruling also.
