BJP leader Kishan Reddy arrested

Khammam, May 6: The BJP leader in the Assembly G Kishan Reddy was arrested by the Khammam police here on Friday. The BJP leader was in Khammam to assess the prevailing situation of the chilli market yard.

The police took him into custody before he reached the yard. Deputy Superintendent of Police S Ganesh said that Section 144 was in force in the district headquarters and the BJP leaders were planning to take out a rally to the market yard which would escalate the situation.

Speaking to media persons, Kishan Reddy condemned the arrest and said it was unfortunate that public representatives were denied a visit to market yards to assess the situation.
