Notice issued to Navjot Singh Sindhu

Chandigarh: May 02: Notice was issued to Minister of Local Government, Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Archives and Museums of the State of Punjab, Navjot Singh Sindhu by a lawyer after allegedly making misleading promises in an advertorial promoting an 'English Learning Machine.'

The notice stated that such conduct of Sidhu is against decorum and dignity of the post of a Cabinet Minister."It does not behoove him to continue to advertise such products even after becoming a Cabinet Minister, which is a high Constitutional Post."

Terming the claims made by the manufacturers of 'English Magic Machine' as 'far-fetched', the notice stated that 'Under the code of conduct for Ministers', Sidhu must have by now severed all connections with the manufacturers of the product.

"It is more incredible than "Fair and Lovely" Face Cream, as Shri Sidhu makes a very tall claim in this advertisement that, 'agar aap ko English bilkul bhee naheen aatee, to bhee is machine kaa paryog karne ke baad, aap farratedar English bologe'. (Even if you do not know English, still after using this machine, you will start speaking English fluently)".
