12-year-old girl was forced to quit

Malaysia, May 01: A 12-year-old girl was forced to quite from a chess tournament as the tournament director allegedly found her dress to be "seductive" and a "temptation", the girl’s coach claimed her coach has claimed.

From this perspective, the girl's parents angered on those officials that they have not mentioned the dress code before the game.

The coach claimed that the tournament director had made a remark on the girl's knee-length dress to the chief arbiter, who had stopped her competition in the middle of Round 2.

They informed the student that her dress was improper and violated the dress code of the tournament.

The director told the girl and her mother that they needed to go to the mall and by her a pair of trousers but by that time it was already 10pm, and the match will be going to strat at 9 am in the Next day.

As they were not able to get a replacement outfit in time the girl, who was a regional champion in Kuala Lumpur, had to pull out of the competition.This incident was happened in "National Scholastic Championship" which was held in Singapore.

The coach, who claimed the situation had been in the field for since 20 years, he also demanded a public apology from the tournament director, if he did not get the apology he would pursue legal action.
