Washington, April 30: A Lithuanian man between 2013-2015 Cleverly duped the employees of Facebook and Google and laundered $100 million (approx RS 680 CRORE).

The companies have confirmed that they were cheated by Evaldas Rimasauskas a Lithuanian Resident.

He opened bank accounts in Latvia, Cyprus, Slovakia, Lithuania, Hungary, and Hong Kong.

The US Department of Justice framed charges against Rimasauskas on March 23 for Round Tripping, Money laundering, and identity theft.



He made the companies believe that he is an Asian-based electronics manufacturer.He also sent Pishing emails to employees of google and Facebook.

Finally, Google And Facebook issued a statement that "We recovered the funds after the complaint was filed and this matter is completed".
