Team India players not paid salaries for last six months

Mumbai April 29: Indian cricket team players have not been paid the match fee for the last six months. We knew that recently additional 50 lakhs incentive has been declared to the team India but the players not yet received the single payment.

BCCI has one of the Richest Board in the World. But they are not given the feeses. The topic goes viral

According to a report that the team is yet to be paid their match fees as well as Rs 1 crore incentive, promised to the team by BCCI.

one of the members of the team, saying, "Usually, we get our dues within a month or 15 days of a Test match but this time, the delay has been long. We don’t know what the reason is but such delays have never happened earlier," said a player, a regular member of the Virat Kohli-led Test side through last season.”

Why the delay: BCCI has been fighting for a major chunk from ICC’s revenue but they are not concerned about the match fee of their own players it seems. One BCCI official, however, has an answer to defend their case. While talking to media, one of the top BCCI officials said, "The payment is delayed because of various issues. The BCCI didn't have the official signatory in February and later there was confusion over whether Amitabh Choudhary (acting secretary) can clear these payments because only the secretary can give all approvals. As for the women's payments, their agreement with BCCI is yet to be signed and once it is officially done, their payment will be released."

How much is the fee: As per BCCI's fee structure, those in the playing XI get Rs 15 lakh per match. The ones sitting on the bench receive Rs 7 lakh each. The past record states that players get their cheques within two months of completion of a Test match. However, BCCI has not paid them yet for the last 6 months.
