No waiting list for Railway Berths.

New Delhi, April 29: How many of you traveled in trains? have you encountered any waiting list while booking tickets?

Here is a good news for waitlisted passengers.The railways are planning to eliminate waiting list in Railways by 2021.

As announced in Rail Budget 2016 the Indian Railways is taking steps to ensure that all persons get a reserved berth in their desired train.

The Railway Minister Speaking at a conference said that "we are taking all possible steps to increase train capacity".

He also said that the construction work of Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) will be completed by December 2019.

He also said that the train speed between Delhi-Howrah and Delhi-Mumbai route is being increased to 200 KM per Hour.He said that once DFC is completed all the Goods trains will be off passenger tracks and we will run more passenger train Services on these routes.

Finally, the minister said with the above measures there would be no concept of the waiting list in Indian Railways in future.
