A Nigerian Smuggler arrested at Secunderabad

Hyderabad, April 29: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials have arrested a Nigerian drug smuggler and seized cocaine worth of Rs.1 crore at Secunderabad railway station on Friday.

While coming to details, The NCB sleuths of Hyderabad arrested Lary Onyekachi (35), a Nigerian traveling in Rajdhani express from Delhi to Bangalore. NCB team checked Lary's baggage and subjected him to thorough frisking.

"We have recovered 200 grams of Cocaine concealed in the socks of the accused. Lary confessed to the crime and said that he got the contraband from his handlers in Delhi and he was supposed to deliver the same in Bangalore," said an NCB official.

Lary also told NCB sleuths that the person who is supposed to receive the contraband in Bangalore is also a Nigerian. Lary was traveling with a forged passport and during the preliminary probe, NCB sleuths came to know that his visa expired in 2012.

NCB officials said, "Lary came to India in 2012 on a tourist visa and continued to stay at Chander Vihar in New Delhi illegally. He has involved narcotics smuggling for the past few years".
