SC ST to get increased reservation by GO

Hyderabad April 29: Telangana Government is planning to increase the Reservations which are given to SC ST with the help of a Government Order (GO).

As we all know the Telangana assembly has passed an act to increase the reservation given to ST to 10 %.

Currently, the reservations in the education and jobs are as follows

SC -15 %

ST -6 %

CM KCR said in assembly "That the reservation % to SC will also be increased based on the total population Of SC present in Telangana."

The government is following two approaches whether to increase the SC reservation to 16 or 18 %.

SC may get 16 % if 2011 census is followed.

SC to get 18%, if the data from Socio-Economic Survey which was conducted in Telangana on August 19, 2014, by Telangana government.

The government also contacted Tamilnadu government in this regard.

Currently, the reservations in Tamilnadu are as follows
BC-30 % SC-18%.

The total reservation in Tamilnadu is 69 %.

The Telangana government officials said that they will take a final decision after a thorough analysis of all aspects.
