Two-wheeler goods transportation need Permission

Hyderabad, April 27: How many of us have ordered online? I think many of us. Have u noticed that how do delivery boys deliver the goods?

Most of us say that they deliver goods by two wheelers but do you know that they are certain rules for two wheelers for transportation of goods. I think most of us don't know.

So let's check out the present scenario in Hyderabad.

According to Motor Vehicles Act 1988. We can use two wheelers for carrying goods but with certain regulations.

These regulations include mandatory registration of the two wheelers with the specific purpose of usage that is whether we use the vehicle for human driving/goods transport.

But many of the home delivery agents including online and food delivery agents are just registering the bikes for human purposes and are registering them for good carriage purpose.

There is a growing scenario of such cases and there are approximately 20 thousand vehicles which are used for delivery of goods but none of them have been registered.

When complained about the excessive load these vehicles are carrying the inspectors said that it is the responsibility of delivery agencies to reduce the load.

The inspectors said that they look into the matter and they advised owners to register them just as Uber register its vehicles as Bike Taxis. Hope other companies follow the same.
