Training aircraft crashed into a river

Mumbai April 27: In a drastic incident, A training aircraft crashed into a river here in gondia, Maharashtra on Wednesday.

While coming to matter, at least two people were killed in the incident, The instructor and the trainee pilot of the aircraft DA42 were killed in the crash that happened in the morning, sources said.

The plane was on a training sortie for the National Flying Training Institute, Gondia, and it lost contact with the Mumbai Air Traffic Controller (ATC) at around 09.40 hours, sources said.

Senior trainer Rajan Gupta(45) and student Shivani(24) were on the plane and there were no survivors, sources added.

The incident took place in Kirori Tehsil which is around 40 km from Gondia, they added.
