50 thousand people option for NOTA IN EVM

Delhi April 27: We all know that NOTA is an option introduced by Election Commission in EVM.

This option was introduced to encourage many people who are not too interested in voting and but also to make sure that all political parties field right candidates in the election.

Right from the introduction of this button voting percentage has improved slightly. The similar is the case with the latest Delhi elections which were held in this month.

As we all know yesterday the Results of the Delhi MUncipal Election has come and the Bharatiya Janta Party has won many of the seats.

Still, political analysts are analyzing the voting pattern of different sections of the society and vote share of each party.

Here interesting facts came into the display

The facts are as follows

Out of total votes polled approximately 50000 people have expressed their dissatisfaction with all the candidates that stood in the election by selection a very popular button in the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) which is None Of The Above (NOTA). This results in approximately 0.70 % of total votes polled.

Another interesting fact is

Out of total 2516 members who participated in the election nearly 70 % of these members lost their deposit.This means that 1792 candidates didn't even get 10 % of total Votes polled .Out of these 92 members of congress and 40 From AAP and 5 members from BJP.and finally 192 members from BSP lost their deposits.
