Centre Warns state Government on Aadhar details.

NewDelhi April 26: Nowadays a lot of people are worrying about the misuse of their Aadhar details.

Aadhar is a Unique identification card developed by UIDAI.Right from the issue of Aadhar card, there have been issues relating to privacy of the Aadhar data.

we have seen many examples.One such example was leakage of Aadhar Indian ODI cricket captain MS Dhoni.

The central government, in order to prevent misuse of the data, has Aadhar Act

Under this act, if any agency releases the Aadhar data then it held guilty of that crime and will be imprisoned up to 3 years.



In a follow up to this measures the Central government has Warned State Governments Officials to Not to publish Aadhar Information in their Respective State Government Websites.This order was issued by Central Information Technology Department.

This comes against the backdrop of Jharkhand Government has published a beneficiaries Aadhar number and Bank Details.
