Chiranjeevi met veteran Filmmaker

Hyderabad April 26: On Tuesday Megastar Chiranjeevi had met veteran moviemaker K. Viswanath to congratulate him for being conferred the Dada Saheb Phalke Award, the country's highest award in movies.

It may be mentioned here that Chiru had worked with Viswanath in three Telugu movie first one was 'Subhalekha', the second one was 'Swayam Krushi' and the third one was 'Apadbandhavudu'. "Chiranjeevi Sir was very happy when he learned about this rare honor to Viswanath. He met him today and congratulated him. They spent close to an hour talking," said a source close to Chiru said. Chiru's performance in 'Subhaleka' movie, was raised pertinent questions about dowry system, Megastar won the Best Actor Filmfare award.



Winner of multiple National Awards, Viswanath has directed 50 movies, known for their strong content, endearing narrative, honest handling and cultural authenticity. Viswanath's National award winning movie 'Swati Mutyam' was India's official entry to the Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Film category in 1987. Several prominent persons from Telugu industry have also congratulated Viswanath on bagging the coveted award.
